The PJE Interns are aspiring physicians and surgeons who are passionate about the mission and vision of PJE and wish to collaborate in creating a brighter future for the medical profession.
NICOLE SEGALINI
Nicole Segalini BS, is a Medical and Regulatory Fellow at Advyzom, where she consults with pharmaceutical companies. Nicole is applying to medical school, and is an aspiring general surgeon, hoping to do a fellowship in complex surgical oncology. She has been a New Jersey certified Emergency Medical Technician since 2016, and has served as a volunteer on the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad for 7 years. Nicole did a surgical student fellowship during the summer and winter of 2019, and she is currently writing a few surgical research papers. Nicole was a recent recipient of the Presidential Gold Volunteer Service Award from the White House in recognition of her commitment to being a volunteer EMT and volunteering over 500 hours in 2021. Nicole became passionate about PJE’s mission after learning about the disparities in the workplace and feels empowered to change the culture. For fun, Nicole is an avid rugby player, and likes to spend time with her family and her dog, Buddy.
SARAH SULIMAN, MBBS
Dr. Sulliman is an internal medicine resident originally from Sudan currently applying for residency in internal Medicine. As a young physician starting out in her journey, she wants to help those who have been exposed to prejudice due to race, gender, and other biases. She also aims to aid in creating the most hospitable & supportive environments possible for current physicians and surgeons, her generation of physicians and future generations yet to come.
